Mike Sarraille says his team briefed the mission, loaded into armored vehicles, and started the drive, then got lost three times. What should've taken an hour took three, and they fell way behind the timeline before it even started.
The real problem wasn't the drive. It was that they'd taken a mission template that worked in Ramadi and dropped it straight onto Sadr City, completely different terrain, completely different enemy, zero changes made.
